Mario Stained Glass by DL2288 Mario Stained Glass by DL2288
This was an art project from my art class in which we had to make stained glass window out of tissue paper (I know, my title's deceiving.) I was so tempted to do Okami, but I decided to go with good old Mario, even though he doesn't actually appear in the picture. I only wish that it were a real stained glass window:( (Oh, well)

Very cool Idea. It may not be real glass but this is a lot less expensive. I like all that you incorporated into the panels.

Thank you so much. Yeah, definitely a lot cheaper and a lot less work than using actual glass. Glad you like it. :D

Would you be upset if I used this as a stained glass pattern? I'm just learning how to do them now, and I'm starting to look for my next one.

I just finished the piece I was working on, and this week, I'll be working on translating your work into a workable stained glass pattern. I'll post updates as I have them. :D

Any thoughts on the best way to do so? I can post pictures on my deviant page if you want.

I finished the pattern using a CAD program this weekend, and it's kind of neat to compare the outline of the pattern to the original.

I'll be meeting with my stained glass teacher next week to go over the pattern, tweak it if needed, and pick glass. This go around, I'm doing a "studio", which means I'm working a lot at home and bringing the piece into my teacher's studio every so often for critique and assistance. I'm hoping this will speed the process up, but it also means I have to order some tools. I'll keep you posted as it progresses.

If you are really interested in the process, my teacher's website is: [link] and he has some "how to's" on monkeysee.com at [link]

Hope that wasn't too much info! :D

I would love to make this in glass, but I really don't have the talent or skills for that. I'm glad you thought it was good though.
